POLYVINYL ALCOHOL
Water soluble PVA cutting fiber is a kind of PVA fiber made from polyvinyl alcohol through wet spinning, heat treatment and crimping-oiling in water at normal temperature. It is good in dry heat stability, physical and mechanical properties. The remarkable characteristic is its total dissolving in water at a range of temperature. This kind of PVA fiber is mainly used in Textile industry for making the yarn and cotton.
PVA fibers that have high tenacity, high Young’s modulus, low elongation, low creep, and excellent resistance to severe weather (UV) and chemicals (alkali, acid, oil, etc.). Fabrics made from this fiber have a cotton-like feel, good affinity to water, do not emit toxic gases when burned, and are easy to wash and dry, and thus, can replace cotton in many applications.
Polyvinyl Butryal
The polyvinyl butyral is a hot-melt polymer compound in the form of white or yellowish powder particles. With high transparency, flexibility, high impact strength at low temperature, resistance to sun exposure, oxygen and ozone, wear resistance, resistance to inorganic acids and aliphatic hydrocarbons and other properties, and can and nitric acid fiber, phenolic, urea-formaldehyde, epoxy resins are mixed with the other phase to improve their performance. Soluble in alcohols, ethyl acetate, methyl ethyl ketone, cyclohexanone, methylene chloride and chloroform. It has good cold resistance and adhesion, and has good adhesion to metal, wood, ceramic, leather and fiber. Can be used for the intermediate layer and coating of safety glass.
PVA
Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) is a water soluble and biodegradable synthetic polymer. It is a dry solid, and is available in granule and powdered forms. Grades include both fully hydrolyzed and partially hydrolyzed. PVA is an excellent adhesive with superior bonding strength, film forming and emulsifying properties.The film of PVA exhibits outstanding resistance to oil, grease and solvents. In addition to its film forming property, it has excellent adhesion to both hydrophilic and hydrophobic materials. PVA has been extensively used in textile industry for warp sizing and resin finishing; in paper industry for surface sizing and pigment coating; in the production of PVAc emulsion as protective colloid; in the suspension polymerization of PVC as a dispersion agent; as binder for ceramics, magnet, foundry cores and pigments.
Optical Brightner
Optical brightening agents are additives which are used in the paper industries to enhance whitening effects of papers. These chemical compounds absorb light in the ultraviolet and violet region (usually 340-370nm) and re-emit light in the blue region (typically 420-470 nm). It gives a fluorescent effect that masks the inherent yellowness of the fiber and enhances the brightness of the paper product. They not only used in paper but also used in plastics, textiles, laundry detergents. They are also known as optical brighteners, artificial whiteners.
